The short version: We collect only what's needed to post your ad — your email (private, never shown), your post content, and your IP for spam prevention. We have no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics tracking, and no data brokers. Your data is deleted within 60 days of your post expiring.
1. Who we are
GetQuickHelp is a free local classifieds platform. For the purposes of UK GDPR and EU GDPR, we act as the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

2. What data we collect and why
We collect only what is necessary to operate the service. The table below lists every category of personal data we process.

We do not collect: your name, date of birth, payment details, browsing history, device fingerprints, precise location, or any profile data.
3. How your email address is used
Your private email address is used for exactly three purposes — nothing else:
- To send a 4-digit verification code when you create a post
- To send your unique management link so you can edit, renew or delete your post
- To send a reminder 3 days before your post expires (one email only)
We will never send you marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional content. Your email address is never sold, rented, or shared with any third party for marketing. It is never displayed publicly under any circumstances.
4. Data retention
We do not keep data longer than necessary.

All personal data is permanently deleted within 60 days of post expiry in all cases.
5. Third-party services we use
We use a small number of third-party services to operate the platform. We share only the minimum data each service requires.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising or behavioural tracking services.

We do not set advertising, analytics, or social media tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required for advertising because we use none.
7. Your rights (UK & EU GDPR)
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the following rights. To exercise any of them, email privacy@getquickhelp.com with your post management token (in the link emailed to you when you posted).

8. California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for advertising. To exercise CCPA rights, contact privacy@getquickhelp.com.
9. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational steps to protect your data:
- All data encrypted in transit via TLS 1.2+
- Private email addresses encrypted at rest in our database
- Verification codes expire after 15 minutes and are single-use
- Management links use cryptographically random tokens (UUID v4)
- We take no payments and store no payment card data

10. Children's privacy
GetQuickHelp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. UK users must be 13 or older. EU users must meet the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction.
If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, contact privacy@getquickhelp.com and we will delete it promptly.
11. International data transfers
Our database (Supabase) may process data on servers in the United States and European Union. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place (Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent). Vercel operates a global CDN — your request may be served from servers in multiple regions.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
